Senior marketing leadership with hands-on execution.
Russell Weil founded Weil Strategic Marketing to help organizations understand their audiences, strengthen their brands and turn business goals into a focused plan. Many people first know him as the creator of Eat More Burgers—the person they ask, “Where is your favorite burger?” That recognition is a personal example of the memorable connections he helps businesses build. He brings the flexibility to advise your team or lead the work from planning through execution.
His experience spans B2B, senior living, commercial real estate and hospitality, combining brand strategy, integrated marketing, digital content and public relations with client leadership, budget management and coordination of creative and technical teams.
Prior roles include SVP of Account Management at a top Houston PR firm, Senior Brand Manager and Client Advocate for Occidental Petroleum through BrandExtract, and digital strategy leadership at Sudhoff Companies. His hospitality background includes Round Table Hospitality and Landry’s Inc., where he served as National Brand Manager for Del Frisco’s Steakhouse.
A native Houstonian, Russell holds a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a published contributor to The Buzz Magazines, Houston Business Journal, Jewish Herald-Voice and LCAHouston International Society Magazine, and has served as a Holocaust Museum Houston docent since 1998.
His approach to AI is practical: use it to support research, analysis and workflows while keeping human judgment, creativity and editorial oversight at the center.
“Where is your favorite burger?”

Russell created Eat More Burgers, and it became what many people recognize him for. When they see him, that familiar question often comes first.
For Russell, it’s a personal example of strategy at work. A focused subject, a recognizable point of view and an audience with a shared interest can create a memorable connection.
He brings that same curiosity to client work: What matters to your audience? Who influences the decision? What do people remember about you? The answers shape a brand’s message and the reasons people choose it.
His food writing and contributions to The Buzz Magazines, Houston Business Journal, Jewish Herald-Voice and LCAHouston International Society Magazine reflect that interest in people, stories and the connections that make a message stick.
